HOLDING POLLUTERS ACCOUNTABLE:
As you know, your voice--that of America's hunters and anglers--is critical to moving the U.S. Senate to pass legislation that holds polluters accountable for threatening your hunting and fishing grounds.
By dialing into the call, you'll learn how you can be a part of nationwide efforts to safeguard our nation's wild places and build America's clean energy economy.
With climate and clean energy legislation recently introduced in the Senate, the coming weeks will be key to elevating the voices of those Americans concerned about the impacts of climate change on our wildlife and natural resources.
So, be sure to mark your calendars and call in!

Ray - I just called Cabelas today and told them I wanted your group to be included in the mailings to customers when we receive orders. I recently bought a powder flask, a bone saw, and an elk hunting video from them, and included was an NRA membership application. I have ordered thousands of dollars of stuff from them over the years, and hunting is a huge part of my life. But, I can't stand the NRA. They take extreme positions on gun rules and have done nothing for the environment and even take positions that are detrimental to hunting.
We had a referendum in Minnesota in the last election that increased the sales tax by a small amount, with money dedicated to wildlife habitat, clean water, parks and trails, and the arts. It passed, and has been a very positive development for hunting and fishing, projects are already underway that aquire habitat and improve lake and stream quality. The referendum had the support of liberals, moderates, and even some pretty conservative sportsmen, including Bud Grant, the former football coach. The NRA did nothing, gave it no support.
Keep up the good work.
